Our story

Three generations. One muddy mission.

We started with a single tank truck and a handshake promise. We still operate that way — just with better gear.

A healthy backyard kept beautiful by a well-maintained septic system

Heritage Septic Co. was founded in 1987 by Earl Whitman, a third-generation farmer who knew that good soil starts with good plumbing. What began as one truck working the back roads of Greenfield County has grown into a 14-person crew serving thousands of homes, farms, and small businesses.

Through it all, the playbook hasn't changed: show up when we say we will, treat your property like it's our own, and leave the land healthier than we found it.

Today Earl's grandkids run the dispatch board, his daughter manages the books, and his original tank truck still sits proudly out front — washed every Sunday.
